May interest you: the Classica era Spartans reportedly had a temple to "Zeus Agamemnon." Regarding the Hittite royal correspondence: any idea if the name would have originally been sthg like "Kagamemnon" then lost the initial "k" (much as the title of Wanax lost its initial "w" by the age of Homer), or is that merely an artefact of how the Hittites transcribed Greek names? The name of "Alaksandu of Wilusa" suggests the first option, but am not 100% sure...

I am not sure what to make of it. The problem is we only have 1 usage of this name and it being the only known or surviving example makes it difficult to officially connect the two. We are left speculating. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ƒ

True. It is a little like say Enkhelyawon of Pylos - must have been important in his time but no one can say anything much about him with confidence - only in a different key.
