Amazing discovery! Petra is truly a mysterious place. We don't really know what Petra is. Is it a religious site, a city of cliff side dwellings where people actually lived , or a much older site that was found abandoned and re-purposed by the Nabateans? What puzzles me the most is the immense size of the whole complex and also of the individual carved-out chambers.

The whole thing is both amazing and crazy to me. And hopefully we start to get some answers soon.
